Brazilian film director whose films explore the boundaries of reality bringing to life dark visions of the unconsciousness. Lynch awarded Demes entry into the David Lynch MA in Film, in the US, where she shot her first feature film "Lilith's Awakening", which competed in the BAFICI 2017 for best film in the avant-garde and genre section. As a screen-player, Demes wrote "Black Figure" during the artist residency program at The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Spain, and was selected this year for the IBERMEDIA Ibero-American audiovisual projects development course in Madrid. My Mama Entertainment will produce 3 of her films: “Requiem”, “Black Figure”; and “The Woods”, which participated in the Franco-Brazilian screenplay laboratory of the Varilux Festival. “When I was five, I used to hide myself with my gramma to watch all the horror films that my parents would forbid me. And now this is what I do, I write and I direct horror films."
Monica was awarded a fellowship to attend the Curso de Desarollo de Proyectos Audiovisuales Iberoamericanos (CDPAI) to develop her feature film “Figura Negra”.
